Gone with the breeze: A subsonic model for describing the Fermi bubbles features
Universität Potsdam 138 pp. () [10.3204/PUBDB-2025-00322] = Dissertation, University of Potsdam, 2024  GO
More than a decade ago, two Galactic bubbles lobes were detected by the Fermi-LAT instruments in a range of 10 GeV to 500 GeV, i.e., in the γ-ray energy band. Their emissions reach a latitude of ~ 50◦ and a longitude of ~ 40◦ , corresponding to a height of ~ 10 kpc and a width of 7 kpc for an observer at 8 kpc from the Galactic Center [...]

Calibration of Standard Stars
Berlin : Bibliothek der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin 188 pp. () [10.3204/PUBDB-2025-00235] = Dissertation, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, 2024  GO
The measurement of dark energy Ω(Λ) and its equation of state parameter 𝑤 plays a vital role in cosmology. The Hubble diagram of a Type Ia supernova (SNe-Ia) constrains these parameters. [...]

Implementation of the Matrix Element Method and a Jet Clustering Algorithm with Machine Learning at Future Higgs Factories
104 pp. () = Masterarbeit, Technische Universität München, 2024  GO
A top priority of future collider programs is to measure the value of the Higgs self-coupling λ. Through double Higgs production (ZHH), this is possible by direct measurement at lepton colliders. [...]

TCAD Simulations and Test Beam Characterization of MAPS for Future Lepton Colliders
124 pp. () = Dissertation, University of Bonn, 2024  GO
Monolithic active pixel sensors (MAPS) produced in a 65 nm CMOS imaging technology are being investigated for applications in particle physics. The MAPS design has a small collection electrode with an input capacitance of ~fF, granting a high signal-to-noise ratio and low power consumption. [...]

From detectors to data: Thermal Characterization of CMS Outer Tracker modules and Measurement of the top quark mass using tt+ jet events
[DESY-THESIS-2025-002]
Hamburg : Verlag Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY, DESY-THESIS 248 pp. () [10.3204/PUBDB-2025-00758] = Dissertation, Bergische Universität Wuppertal, 2025  GO
This thesis addresses key challenges in modern particle physics by contributing to threecritical areas: the development of particle detectors, their calibration and the analysis ofdata collected in particle physics experiments. Contributions to these areas are presentedin the context of the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment at the Large HadronCollider (LHC).The first part of this work focuses on the development and characterization of a temperaturetest system (Burn-in) for silicon modules, essential components of the CMS OuterTracker Upgrade, a central part of the preparation of CMS for the forthcoming High LuminosityLHC running [...]
