Digital Object Identifier

DOI’s @ DESY

Beginning with March 1st 2008 DESY may assign digital object identifier (doi’s) to all kind of scientific information which are the result of publicly funded research. These persistent permanent identifier are used for citation and linking of electronic resources.

A doi uniquely identifies a digital object and is more than just it’s address which might change in time. A doi consists always of a prefix, which is a unique alphanumerical sequence (for DESY xxxx) and a suffix. To resolve a doi please enter
